"Indie"

The style of "Indie" is about as easy to peg as "scene". Unlike Emo or Goth, Indie is relative to the teen's LACK of definition.

Indie kids thrive on being different versions of themselves and others. A typical Indie kid shops vintage clothes, wears tight jeans, tight sweaters, and generally attempts to look  as geeky as possible, in an attractive way, of course.

They typically give a shit, and that's something new. They have heart, sometimes too much. They have pet causes, whether it's veganism, environmentalism, anti-materialism, anti-capitalism or pro-animal protection, whatever it is, they believe in it, or defy it, hard-core.

Girls tend to gravitate more to it, based on my observations, because they seek the sensitive souls many Indie boys have. Little do they know, the boys are boys, first and foremost. Ehem.

They smell good, unlike wanna-be hippies who smell like B.O. and patchouli. Indie kids, if you have one, are not a bad way to go in terms of parents. The worst thing you can expect form them is a little dabble with Mary Jane. BACK TO POST.
